About

Aquaflow is an independent consulting practice led by Guilherme Franz (PhD), an environmental engineer with over 15 years of international experience in hydrodynamic and environmental modelling of complex water systems.

Aquaflow provides specialised numerical modelling services to support engineering design, environmental impact assessments, and regulatory studies for coastal, river, and reservoir environments. Core expertise includes hydrodynamics, waves, sediment transport, water quality modelling, and pollutant dispersion.

Projects have supported ports and coastal infrastructure, industrial facilities, and environmental management initiatives across Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia.

Aquaflow works closely with engineering consultancies and project developers, delivering robust, science-based modelling solutions that help evaluate environmental impacts, optimise infrastructure design, and support informed decision-making for complex water systems.

Why choose us

  • Model validation-first approach — we prioritise data comparison and uncertainty quantification.

  • Decision-focused deliverables — concise maps, control-point time-series and executive summaries suitable for regulators.

  • Operational readiness — we deliver systems, dashboards and automated workflows for real-world use.

Deliverables & Process
